Older in-town homes and 1960s–70s ranches
Swansea's established housing is largely frame and brick homes on crawlspaces, many with additions built over the decades. Recurring findings include roof coverings past service life with reused flashing, crawlspace moisture and failed vapor barriers, undersized or obsolete electrical panels, mixed plumbing materials where repairs were made piecemeal, and HVAC equipment kept running well past its expected life. We photograph each item and tell you plainly whether it's a safety issue, an insurance issue, or a maintenance issue.
